As a product designer on Hudl's Hardware Business Unit, I have served as the voice of the user in creating Focus Flex, a portable auto-tracking camera built for the club soccer market. By conducting user interviews, field visits, and usability tests my research has shaped an intuitive UX that relieves the pain points that club soccer coaches face today in filming games and practices.

In my time at Hudl, I quickly grew from a novice product designer to a leader in research and design across three different agile development squads on our Business Operations Product Team. As the team worked to scale the business efficiently I had a significant impact on creating more efficient sales processes, improving ease of payment for our customers, and scaling our billing/revenue systems.

Being the UX Intern at one of Nebraska’s most renowned advertising agencies has allowed me to dive deep into the world of UI/UX design. In my time at Swanson Russell I have been able to work with a number of clients to help create digital experiences that form real connections between our clients and their customers. My responsibilities include wireframing and prototyping landing pages, building custom emails, and developing and animating digital display advertisements.

Lincoln, Nebraska

In my final semester at the University of Nebraska – Lincoln I was able to secure the position as the sole web designer at Jacht, a student-run advertising agency. As part of my tenure at Jacht I headed a complete redesign of Jacht’s internal website. In the two months following its launch, the agency saw a 351.3% increase in new users and 15.4% decrease in bouncerate. I also analyzed clients’ current web presences and advised them on how to improve traffic and conversion rates.

University Of Nebraska - Lincoln

As UNL Ad Club’s longest serving exec member, I served four terms as the club’s Art Director. As the Art Director I headed all things design for the club and helped push the overall aesthetics and branding of all content the organization released. The position required me to work closely with the Copywriter and Photographer so that content was published on a consistent and tight schedule to keep members up to speed. In my time as the Art Director I created fundraising designs that amassed over $8,000 in revenue in less than one month.

After a year-long tenure at CompanyCam I was promoted to Video Marketing. My responsibilities included filming and editing video content that was released as either promotional or educational material. Working closely with Graphic Designers, Copywriters, and the Digital Ads team I produced videos that have reached over one hundred thousand views and have drawn in hundreds of new trials.

I was hired as an intern on the marketing team at CompanyCam, an app easing the daily work flow of contractors across the world. I worked closely with a small marketing team to make sure our messaging was consistent and effective across all mediums. Being personally responsible for building and managing the company’s website and blog, I helped generate hundreds of thousands of new users to the site and generated qualified leads for the sales team.

As one of the two graphic designers at the University of Nebraska State Museum this experience gave me the oppurtunity to dive headfirst into the world of design. My responsibilities included the creating and editing of designs for anything that the museum needed. Some works produced at this time included all design and branding for events such as Morrill Hall Summer Camps, the 2016-2017 Annual Report, and Investigate (a weekly children’s science program).

Greater Omaha Area

My first internship in the marketing department of Children’s Hospital and Medical Center was a great way to get my foot in the door of the advertising/marketing industry. I had a broad range of responsibilities during this internship including writing articles for the company newsletter, The Hero, which was distributed to all hospital employees. I also specialized in the creation of graphics that were utilized throughout the medical center and various physicians’ offices.
