I grew up in the Nursery business. Trees have been a part of my family heritage for generations. In 1998, I co-founded the Champion Tree Project and was involved with a myriad high profile plantings across the United States. Today, I continue these deep rooted traditions by operating Milarch Brothers Nursery & Landscaping, a landscape design and installation firm in Copemish, MI and working with Archangel Ancient Tree Archive. I have worked with Archangel from its very inception. I began by aiding in designing and building Archangel’s indoor growing facilities, collecting genetic material, and propagating and planting thousands of trees. I officially accepted the positions of Executive Director and President of the Board of Archangel Ancient Tree Archive in August of 2012. I share a passion for the mission of Archangel and am determined to measure the organizations success by the amount of good our trees are doing in the worldwide. I believe Archangel will be able to provide real world solutions to global environmental challenges and I am eager to put Archangel’s "Champion" genetics to work. I advocate best practices, legal compliance, and transparency as the hallmarks of a well-run not-for-profit. As I continue to build the Board of Directors, I will seek out effective members who share these beliefs and will be able to pass them deep into the future.
