I am a seasoned psychiatrist with a broad range of experience spanning general and community psychiatry, child & adolescent psychiatry, military psychiatry, and mental health training. My journey has taken me from serving the Singapore Armed Forces as a military psychiatrist to significant contributions at the Institute of Mental Health (IMH), Singapore. At IMH, I oversaw child & adolescent inpatient services, served as the program director of a community mental health program and a crisis response program, and was the founding chief of the Department of Emergency & Crisis Care.My academic pursuits at Harvard University, where I earned a Master of Public Health, deepened my understanding of health and social behavior. These diverse experiences have equipped me with a comprehensive skillset and a unique perspective on mental health care.Now, I am on a mission to extend comprehensive, accessible mental health care to all, while creating a caring, nurturing environment free from stigma.
