Responsible for a $14MM CAPEX project that integrated a new powertrain on an existing multi-platform assembly line. The launch of this product was silent and was voted the “2016 Coolest Thing Made in Wisconsin” by the Wisconsin Manufacturers & Commerce (WMC). The process and line reduced 2 part handling steps, 1 operator per shift, manual part loading and downtime related to equipment and process issues. Vision and automation technology was successfully utilized.► Worked with product designers on the powertrain design for manufacturability that reduced assembly & service complexity as well as increased product reliability.► Developed an assembly training plan that included media, standardized work and experiential learning that gave associates a invaluable education and experience prior to working with new products or on the assembly line. In the first year alone the program yielded over 2,500+ training hours.
