LANL is essential in the support of the U.S. Department of Energy’s (DOE) National Nuclear Security Administrations (NNSA) missions, which are to: stockpile stewardship, threat reduction, nuclear materials management, non-proliferation, counterterrorism, nuclear weapons safety, materials science including high explosives, dynamic material properties, and advanced simulation and computing. LANL is responsible for delivering a new NNSA radiography capability for the Advanced Sources and Detectors Project (ASD). This radiography capability is a multi-pulse linear induction accelerator, nicknamed Scorpius. A national project team comprised of LANL, as well as academic and industrial partners and others, will research, design, build, install, and commission Scorpius to fulfill the subcritical experiment programs mission needs. Ensure that the DD Form 2579, Small Business Coordination Record is completed correctly, and that contractors are registered in the System for Award Management (SAM) with a valid CAGE code, verifying that contractors do not have any prior violations or listed on the Excluded Parties List System. Prepare pre-award and post award synopsis requirements in the Navy's NECO portal website. Ensuring vendors have the appropriate certifications and representations required by the (FAR) and the (DFAR) before any award is issued.
