I hold Advanced Postgraduate Certificate in the Management of Diabetes and its Complications (EASD/ADA/IDF, Addis Ababa), Postgraduate Certificate in Field Epidemiology and Laboratory Training Program (FELTP), Finance for Non-finance Managers (USAID, APHIA II/Pathfinder, Nairobi) and Research Ethics (National Institutes of Health (NIH) and BSN (UoN)(2007). • Since 2007, I have worked with international, regional and national organizations in various capacities in research, management, and networking in health and development sectors. • I have engaged in national and regional policy advocacy and dialogue, and public health practice contributing to National HIV and AIDS policies, prevention and care training manuals and guidelines, national assessments and policy framework for quality assurance; NCD (mental health, diabetes, cancer, CVD, tobacco, alcohol) related strategies, policies, guidelines, and bills.• I have handled research on NCDs (nutrition, CVDs), Health Systems Strengthening, Selfcare, psychosocial care and support (AIHD), reproductive health for NAHEDO/IPAS in Kenya; on HIV and AIDS for CARE-Kenya, AIC Church Childcare Department (Kenya), NASCOP and KNH.• With International Union for Health Promotion and Education (IUHPE) through African Institute for Health and Development (AIHD), I have served as Secretary for the Consortium for NCD Prevention and Control in sub-Saharan Africa (CNCD-Africa) and Program Officer managing 2 programs and research in health and social development.• I have managed membership and partners’ networks, establishing and managing effective relationships in local, national and regional networks and working with people of various backgrounds and orientations. • I am conversant with popular Windows based MS-Office applications as well as a working knowledge of SPSS, EpiInfo and Atlas Ti. Based on my experience and educational background, I have a flair for public relations and good analytical skills in monitoring and evaluation as well as research, training and report writing.
