Final Quality Inspector
Responsible for ensuring specific engine components leaving Unison for assembly met all safety and industry guidelines. Criteria varies depending on manufacturer, so attention to detail is crucial. Was promoted to this position in less than a year at the company. Focus was primarily on the inspection and serialization of specific manifold engine components for engine programs such as Rolls Royce and General Electric (LEAP, Passport, etc.). Inspection requires use of engineering drawings and FAI files to confirm parts conform to all consistency and regulatory guidelines for Unison and other customers. Grasped key concepts of part serialization/marking and traceability processes. Electrochemical etching and stamping were some forms of marking, but this stage in the inspection process varied by engine program and part. Many other gages and specific tooling knowledge was required to ensure part conformity (calipers, flatness gages, pneumatic tools, etc.).
