In my practice, I manage a diverse caseload of general civil and construction litigation, insurance defense, and subrogation matters in various state and federal trial and appellate courts. I have been responsible for initial case assessment and budgeting, case development and litigation strategy, extensive client contact, hiring of experts, taking and defending depositions, all court appearances, including jury and bench trials, settlement negotiations, mediations, and arbitrations, and drafting pleadings, motions, discovery, and all trial-related documents.I grew up working in construction and worked my way through school as a foreman and superintendent for a steel erection and material handling company. My legal construction experience includes representing numerous contractors, insurance companies, and school districts in multiple states in litigation related to construction defect and insurance claims, providing claims-preparation assistance to school districts, insurance companies, general contractors, and subcontractors, representing contractors before the Arizona Registrar of Contractors, and litigating mechanic's lien actions. My commercial litigation experience includes representation of local business owners and individuals in corporate and other business litigation matters. And my insurance defense and subrogation experience includes trucking, automobile, premises, fire, workers' compensation, and bad faith litigation.

While working at JBHH, I worked nearly exclusively in the insurance defense arena-managing a diverse case load that provided invaluable experience defending insureds in automobile, trucking, and job-site accidents, premises liability, wrongful death, catastrophic injury, and all manner of other claims for bodily injury.
