Mangagement Intern/Desk Supervisor
• Assist in processing payroll for three different communities by serving as a Department Time Administrator and utilizing payroll management software [Peoplesoft and Subitup]• Responsible for full cycle recruitment of student staff desk assistants including advertising, recruiting, applicant screening/evaluation, hiring, onboarding and offboarding• Member of housing hiring committee for students applying for community assistant and desk assistant positions • Revised and reconstructed training course for desk assistants by implementing more engaging modules. • Implement, supervise, train and coordinate the necessary parts of all University Housing processes, procedures and protocols • Document, educate and resolve conflict situations between students and staff using a performance improvement model• Perform weekly audits of keys, access cards, and equipment to ensure that Desk Assistant staff consistently adhere to proper procedures• Collaborate with a diverse group of student workers and campus professional staff with the goal of providing excellent customer service to all guests and community members• Adjudicate student conduct cases for students accused of violating Housing or University Policies • Create and manage desk schedules to ensure 24-hour coverage, during the academic year, and all break periods
