Pool Employee/Auditor
John Deere
As a pool employee I did forklift driving, auditing, and assembly. When I had a work injury, I was part of a special project to put chemical labels on products. It was something new the company was doing. It was a light duty assignment, but it was one of the cooler things I did at John Deere while I was there.Fork Truck assignment: During my fork truck assignment, I would take items, load them on to semi trailers and take items to outbound and inbound shipping areas marked with the department number ready for the assembly lines or CNC departments. I operated both electric and gas fork trucks.Assembly assignment: I assembled various types of parts for 8R and 9R tractors in different departments (shafts, clutches, pumps etc.)Auditing: Helped with verifying correct inventory by counting parts of various shapes and sizes in different departments for Material Flow. Dividing, adding and subtracting weren't out of the norm for this assignment. Cycle counts would be the most important type of audit to fulfill for the shift period.
