Paris Analyst
CurrentOversee the use of the federal Public Assistance Reporting Information System (PARIS) by the Department to reduce the duplicate use of public benefits. PARIS is a data matching service by the federal government that matches recipients of public assistance benefits to identify instances when duplicate benefits are received in two or more states. PARIS matches help identify improper payments and minimize fraud and abuse.Primarily, this position will facilitate the use of the interstate data match files from PARIS by the counties to ensure that individuals receive medical assistance benefits in the state in which they reside. This position acts as a liaison between the federal operation of the program and the county workers who utilize the data. This position trains county technicians, develops tracking and reporting mechanisms to monitor cost savings, and ensures that the state is in compliance with the direction to utilize this data.This position will also identify strategic opportunities to utilize the PARIS data match files containing federal benefits program data and data from the U.S. Department of Veteran’s Affairs. The position will recommend such opportunities to Department management and will also be charged with implementing any adopted strategic plans.
