Venture For America is a fellowship for recent grads who want to learn how to build a business while making an impact. VFA Fellows get training and join a startup in an emerging US city, where they live and work for two years at one of our hundreds of partner companies. They learn hands-on what it takes to build a company, while getting the mentorship, network, and ongoing support to prepare themselves to become successful entrepreneurs. -Increase webinar attendance by 80% by spearheading an internal revamp of presentation design, best practices, and promotion protocol-Educate community members and local businesses about waste reduction and energy efficiency by writing and promoting blog posts that have reached over 4,500 people-Generate customer traffic and sales at reuse retail store through social media promotion that has reached over 15,000 people per post-Utilize Salesforce and Smartsheet to verify completion of 20 to 25 home energy assessments per week-Design and create signs, web pages, slide decks, and other visual content using InDesign, PowerPoint, Photoshop, Canva, and WordPress

-Completed comprehensive baking apprenticeship under the supervision of Head Baker, Oliver Levis-Recipe tested and developed a new product (babka) that we sold at our farm store-Mixed, shaped, and baked batards, boules, baguettes, and flatbreads that sold at local farmers markets and our farm store-Successfully completed 300-loaf bakes in our wood-fired Llopis oven

-Successfully organized and executed floor events -Acted as point of contact between students and building staff to ensure comfort and safety of all residents-Effectively mediated conflicts between residents as well as between residents and staff

-Wrote articles for regional mainstream newspaper publications-Created visual advertising content and ad copy

-Secured donations of 500 pounds of food from 10 local farms for state-run event through phone-based outreach-Coordinated pick-up and delivery of food with farms and kitchen manager-Promoted organizational mission of buying local food through interviews and blog posts with local-focused restaurants-Engaged in phone-based outreach campaign to retain organizational partners

-Wrote blog posts and articles about travel topics and destinations-Article about Overtourism was voted one of the top ten articles of 2019 by readers and editors -Drove digital marketing initiatives on Facebook, Pinterest, and subscribers.com -Gained valuable experience with WordPress and Rank Math SEO

-Completed comprehensive apprenticeship under supervision of head baker, Brian Musician-Managed operations, economics, and general cultural atmosphere of a high grossing farmers market stand once a week-Enjoyed working with my hands in a collaborative environment

-Compiled appropriate research findings regarding competitors and emerging technologies; presented findings to senior management-Revamped company marketing materials to reflect tailored mission and competitive advantages to increase chances of generating new business with new clients
