Provides individual, family, and group mental health counseling for adolescent males ages 10-19 currently residing in a residential treatment facility. Behaviors include, but not limited to, sexually maladaptive behavior, sexually reactive behaviors, aggression, depressive symptoms, trauma related symptoms, Autism spectrum related behaviors, general mood management, and other high risk behaviors. Other responsibilities include documentation of treatment through clinical notes and comprehensive treatment plans. Also a certified crisis management trainer (UPMC Comprehensive Crisis Management program) and provides crisis management to new hires as well as ongoing refresher.Treatment approaches utilized include Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, Play Therapy, and Trauma Informed CBT.

Worked part time as a Behavioral Specialist Consultant, primarily with adults. Utilized Functional Behavioral Analysis along with other assessment tools to identify behavior patterns, incorporated this information into an ongoing behavioral support plan, and provided training to family and/or other service providers. Maintained clinical records in an electronic database.

Worked with youth and family's currently involved in the foster care system as a service coordinator. Helped facilitate all necessary inter-agency meetings as well as communicating with managed care providers, families/guardians, and other mental health agencies.

Directly worked with, monitored, and documented necessary behaviors of adolescents residing in a residential treatment facility. Performed crisis management and documented daily behaviors.
