I am a civil construction contracts administrator with over 17 years experience, specializing in the supervision, measurement and contract administration of all works related to the trade. I have successfully completed numerous large scale projects throughout Cape Town South Africa and most recently filled the role of senior contracts administrator/assistant site agent on The Groote Schuur Estate Contract, a prestige project for the Department of Public Works. I have over 12 years of supervisory experience in the building and civil construction sectors as a site foreman/supervisor. In 2015 I was promoted to Contracts Administrator in which I was the responsible party for all the administrative duties on site, including procurement, quantity surveying, labour and plant administration, management of subcontractors, management of costing systems, management of emerging contractors and target enterprise development as well as compiling payment certificates for both the main contractor as well as all subcontractors. I was also placed in charge of all site based training and management of the contracts Expanded Public Works Programmes, as set out by Government. Over the last 5 years I was also appointed in the role as manager and mentor to numerous emerging contractors appointed by the Western Cape Government. In this role I was tasked with uplifting, developing and mentoring previously disadvantaged small, medium and micro enterprise contractors, with the aim of upgrading their CIDB status in the construction/civil industry. I am highly proficient in both site based supervisory tasks, office based administrative tasks and assisting the site/project management in the running of the contracts.
