I collaborated with cross-functional teams to conduct comprehensive buy-side and sell-side due diligence engagements for private equity, middle-market, and big business clients, with deal sizes ranging from under $50m to $3b. In addition, I supported financial modeling to create a flexible data model based on the client’s financial and operational information, revenue and EBITDA adjustments, and new data. I also drafted management meeting agendas by prioritizing key focus areas and requests which facilitated productive discussions. Further, I assisted in the preparation and delivery of detailed financial due diligence reports for clients, providing valuable insights on financial performance. Report writing also included collaboration with cross-functional teams, including technical accounting advisory, HR advisory, IT advisory, valuations, and others, to align their analyses and deliverables with the final due diligence report, ensuring comprehensive coverage of all relevant areas.

As an assurance associate, I had to step-up and continuously escalate my progression to be successful. I was assigned and completed tasks that are normally performed by experienced and senior associates. Therefore, I conducted my own research, investigated guidance, and collaborated and networked with peers at different offices and levels to be successful with my increased responsibility. Additionally, on each client engagement, I was the lead and first point of contact for our remote team members across the globe. I organized and delegated tasks, answered questions, and conducted coaching calls in order to streamline our performance and completion of the engagement. As a risk assurance intern, I had the pleasure and opportunity to work on the IT and financial audit groups of a Fortune 500 client. I conducted and performed test of control and substantive testing procedures. With the IT audit team I assisted in walkthroughs and key report testing to evaluate the client's IT compliance and operations using their ERP system, SAP. On the financial audit team, I increased audit efficiency by skillfully using Excel to format and organize data for accurate inventory counts. By delegating responsibility between both teams, I was able to enhance communication, training, and overall audit productivity. As the VP of Finance for Phi Gamma Nu, I am responsible for creating the master budget for the fraternity, as well as the individual budgets for each committee. I managed the fraternity's cash accounts, regulated every transaction, and led the fundraising committee to raise money for the organization and charity. As the VP, I was able to increase our donations to the Covenant House of Detroit by over 42% through the success of the organization and fundraising committee.In addition, there has been another side of this role being a member of the executive board. I've had to conduct interviews, mitigate disputes among members, and collaborate with five other people to run the organization. Also, as an executive board member, I am in charge of the pledge class where I participate in various roles such as grading quizzes/exams, assigning and reviewing projects, and guiding pledges with planning their own committee events.

During my time as an intern, I was able to be a member of multiple engagements in various industries, from start-up businesses to Fortune 500 companies. I mostly conducted financial statement audits and employee benefit plan audits. In addition, throughout my internship I was put in a lot of groups where teamwork and collaboration was crucial to our performance.

Being the accountant for the park, it was my job to manage all the money, transactions, and constantly solve problems. I supervised a diversified team of employees and helped administer the implementation of a new IT system. With the IT system, it was my job to train and assist employees, managers, and my boss on how to operate the new system. Also, I created and launched my own template for when the IT system crashes. Everyday I had to solve discrepancies using data analytics and asking the right questions with my co-workers. I was responsible for recording and organizing the Park's daily revenue earnings and paperwork for audits. Overall, I have enhanced and sharpened my accounting, auditing, IT, and leadership skills.

I handled day-to-day operations by up-keeping the park, aiding patrons, and collaborating with a variety of employees. At times I was the first person to come in contact with a patron when entering the park so I had to be welcoming, informative, and effectively communicate with a diverse group of patrons. Also, I was deployed in and maintained many duties. I managed inventory by steadily and consistently paying attention to detail. I had to ensure the dates of goods were stocked accordingly and utilized an organizational chart to determine when goods would expire to ensure we would not sell expired goods to patrons. In addition, I influenced and participated in special events to garner a higher number of patrons in the park.

I worked closely with customers to resolve issues and/or concerns. I had to attentively and actively listen and be able to thoroughly explain the processes of our operations. In doing so, I was able to build trust and complete a transaction. Eventually, I supervised employees and was able oversee some of the daily operations. I made sure that all jobs were carried out smoothly. Also, I helped train new employees by demonstrating the different routines for each job. I watched over them until they could effectively and efficiently handle the job. Lastly, I dealt with basic transactions and maintained inventory by confirming each article of clothing was in its designated place. Thus, the operations of the store could be fulfilled much faster, easier, and satisfying the customers.
