I manage the charter business, crew, and general operations of two luxury motor yachts based in Puerto Rico and the Virgin Islands.

I provide comprehensive legal representation to clients with a focus on business transactions, including complex drafting, M&A, entity conversions and re-organizations, real estate sales and leases, telecommunications and technology agreements, and utility agreements. I conduct advanced multi-jurisdictional research and coordinate and supervise local counsel in several states, Puerto Rico, and the U.S. Virgin Islands. I advise clients on cross-jurisdictional tax concerns for businesses and individuals, and provide estate planning services. I also represent nonprofit incorporators and boards.

As House Counsel I was responsible for all legal matters for a start-up ultra high-density data center development and management company. Drafted commercial development and lease agreements, MSA’s, SLA’s, and other enterprise technology agreements.

As House Counsel and co-owner, I provided business and technical consulting to biodiesel and oil rendering operations, advised the company on government incentives for renewable energy and renewable fuels, and contributed to the development of several sustainable technologies and process improvements.

As a Planning Commissioner I took part in regular public land use hearings and helped craft a major update to the City of Canby Comprehensive Plan.

I represented and advised individuals and small businesses in various civil matters. I drafted and negotiated contracts, real estate agreements, and pre-trial settlements.

I represented businesses and business owners in a wide variety of civil matters, including torts, real estate, contract disputes, employment disputes, and administrative agency licensing disputes. I represented a business owner against ex-partners in an international real estate purchase and development agreement for resort property. As first chair litigator I successfully obtained stalking protective orders for religious workers subject to threats of violence and criminal harassment from excommunicated members. I also prepared wills, trusts, and estate planning instruments, and represented clients in trust disputes.

My small business practice focused on sustainable industries. I drafted and negotiated contracts, real estate agreements, and pre-trial settlements. I advised clients regarding local, state, and federal statutory and case law. I also prepared wills, trusts, and other estate planning instruments.
