- Managed, budgeted, forecasted, and reported on company vendor allowances.- Handled the Competitive Indexing for the Food Lion, Bottom Dollar, Harvey's, and Reid's banners within Delhaize America. This involved maintaining the indexing database with our current retail data, as well as competitor data.

Inventory Accounting Control where the main objectives were to properly state inventory, margins, and shrink for financial purposes. Delhaize America, whose flagship banner is Food Lion, has over 1,500 stores up and down the eastern coast of the US.Responsibilities included: Weekly inventory and margin reviews for all stores, weekly sales, margin, and shrink reconciliations to ensure database and financial systems were in sync, inventory cost/item adjustments, answering emails/phone calls from retail leaders and business partners about inventory levels/adjustments made to inventory, monthly P&L duties(account reconciliations and questions from upper management), GL entries, ad hoc projects and reviews.

Corporate Accounting setting for a global insurance and marketing telecommunications organization that worked closely with the VP of Finance and had contact to all other top executives on a daily basis. This close contact was instrumental in shaping my career from the beginning by giving me the opportunity to see all aspects of a corporate office setting (Executives, Accounting, Marketing, Management, IT, HR, Sales, Client Services, Payroll, etc.) and learn how they were all connected to form the entire company.Responsibilities included: accounts payable, sales/use tax, property tax, G/L analysis and reconciliation, accruals, fixed assets, company postage/shipping needs, and employee travel scheduling programs within the company using a company credit card.
