I work in a fast paced position, managing over one-thousand customer environments that change dynamically on a weekly basis. I interface with Cisco ASA firewalls (ranging from 5505's to 5525-x's), and anything between policy, dynamic routing, NAT, and source fire related configurations, to service policy, SSL VPN, and site-to-site VPN configurations. In addition to Cisco ASA, I have experience with managing Palo Alto (200, 800, 3000, 5000, and VM series) and Fortigate firewall appliances. I'm also experienced in load balancing platforms, such as FortiADC, F5, Brocade, Foundry, and Citrix. I have a multitude of switching expertise, including Cisco Catalyst, Cisco Nexus, Arista, and Cumulus platforms. I also have experience on multiple routing platforms, including Cisco and Juniper routers (anywhere between Cisco 1800 series to Cisco 4000 series, and the Juniper ACX and SRX platforms).I have worked on and implemented OSPF, EIGRP, and BGP environments on a fairly standard basis, and am comfortable in designing and managing such topologies.I'm well versed in DNS on the Infoblox platform and have spent over twelve years managing records and zones throughout our entire customer environment. I performed daily Network Operations Center tasks, including swapping out tapes for customer specific backups, providing assistance to engineers by running Raritan cables to servers and console cables to networking devices, assisting with the installation and cabling of both Connectria Custom Hosting and Connectria Managed Hosting servers, performing hourly air handler checks to ensure proper air flow throughout the datacenter, and troubleshooting both Hewlett Packard and Dell servers when hardware failures occurred.In addition to my datacenter duties, I was part of a team of technicians that monitored our iSeries AS400 servers. I performed bi-hourly checks on over one-hundred individual AS400 sessions. These bi-hourly checks included checking for Message Waits and Lock Waits that can halt a customer's batch jobs and prevent critical systems from functioning. I followed documentation and operating procedures that detailed how to fix issues that arose and who to notify. I also performed daily batch and BRM checks to verify that system backups completed successfully.
