I was originally born in California, but my family and I moved to Raleigh when I was 7 years old where I continued to have an upper-middle-class, Bible-based Christian upbringing. My parents taught me to value people, always do the right thing, and work hard at whatever task was placed in front of me. Most importantly, I was taught that I could achieve anything if I had the the proper thought process and work ethic.Everyone has their reasons for coming to LinkedIn. I think the majority of people on LinkedIn are looking to build a network both inside and outside of their industry. However, in this day and age where security and stability are becoming luxuries, having a backup plan to mitigate a loss of income is more important than ever.
