Developing the new company wide solution for distributed compute, drawing on lessons learned from the previous Vrbo specific platform, leveraging Kubernetes, KubeFed, Nomad, Vault, DataDog, Istio and Golang. Migrated the older Vrbo/Homeaway platform solution onto Nomad seamlessly, presenting essentially the exact same user experience to existing customers as had been provided with Marathon/Mesos.Created comprehensive external (platform customer facing) and internal (team specific) documentation leveraging MkDocs, with an emphasis on usability, readability and currency.Mentored junior developers and on-boarded several team members to a large and complex code base.

Developed and maintained the Homeaway distributed compute platform. The platform offered in-house built application autoscaling, billing support, and reconciliation across multiple scheduler clusters. The platform was fronted by REST API and managed by various in-house developed tools.The tech stack used included Mesos, Marathon, Consul, Vault, Kafka, Datadog, Cassandra, Java (Dropwizard) and Golang.
