As a part of Production Services Group, my goal is to communicate well so I can diagnose problems and present solutions quickly and effectively. I regularly get the opportunity to work with some of Cedarville University's most high profile clients in order to ensure their vision is executed unhindered. From chapel services, to live game shows, to concerts, I have helped ensure all of these events and more exceed expectations.When not working with the rest of our team to deliver these services, I assist in the setup and maintenance of multiple systems that function by merging audio/visual systems with cloud-based networking. Every client presents a unique problem, and by using cutting-edge technology alongside a team of skilled students and staff I am always ready to present a solution.

Working with Cedarville's maintenance team taught me valuable life skills taking work orders and participating in summer projects. I did it all: carpet, paint, electric, drywall, plumbing, HVAC, trash, furniture repair, you name it. Being an older member of the team meant I was often leading and training younger and less experienced colleagues and received a lot of valuable training from experienced tradesmen myself. Along with them, I also frequently interacted with management to give reports on our progress on various projects and also interacted with contractors working on projects that required professionals.Most often, I worked with the moving crew to deliver large objects like vending machines and dorm furniture all over campus. Our biggest project was assisting the University president in moving into his new house, a massive endeavor that took the cooperation of over 30 people and was accomplished by the end of the work day. I helped in this by leading my crew to move some of the largest pieces of equipment, including things like multiple washer and dryer units, a treadmill, kitchen appliances, and much more.

As a IT Helpdesk intern, I collaborated with our team to quickly and efficiently present solutions to problems, ranging from setting up new user accounts and maintaining on-site policies to bringing computers back from the dead. Since problems aren't just local, I've also resolved tickets coming from as far away as Nepal and Australia.I also assisted in a number of projects, namely the setup of hybrid workstations for OM's future of work initiative. The future of work initiative is a graduated plan to equip users for hybrid and virtual work, establishing a standard for reservable workstations and a system to reserve equipment for at-home use. I contributed to the initiative by recommending all the hardware now deployed in our hybrid workstations, creating documentation to use the hardware, creating a procedure to reserve equipment, and inventorying hardware both in reservable spaces and available for reservation to keep track of who has borrowed what equipment.
