As a Sr Mechanical Design Engineer at Collins Aerospace, I have over seven years of experience in the aerospace industry, where I design and test innovative and reliable lighting systems for military aircraft. I have a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering from Grand Canyon University, and I am proficient in tolerance analysis, mechanical engineering, and electronics packaging. My mission is to ensure compliance with customer requirements and industry standards, while contributing to the organization's vision of creating a safer, smarter, and more sustainable world.In my current role, I lead the entire product lifecycle of exterior and interior lighting systems for various aircraft platforms, from requirement definition, customer interface, design, qualification test, to final transition to production. I also develop and maintain standard design processes, configuration management, and sustaining engineering tasks. Some of the projects that I have successfully completed include the development of a new LED-based landing light system, and the improvement of the thermal and optical performance of an existing system. I enjoy working with a diverse and collaborative team of engineers, technicians, and managers, and I am always eager to learn new technologies, tools, and methods, and to apply them to solve complex engineering challenges.
