Great Elk Tour Manager
The primary responsibility of the Great Elk Tour Manager is coordination and execution of RMEF’s premier traveling marketing display. Promoting the RMEF brand, increasing membership and generating revenue for RMEF’s mission, are the three primary goals for the Great Elk Tour. Assists in the development, support and execution of various marketing and corporate sales programs while working closely with both RMEF employees and lead volunteers. It was required of me to be knowledgeable and up to date on RMEF’s mission goals and current issues, in order to effectively and accurately represent and promote RMEF to the public. Strong organizational skills, excellent problem solving ability and self motivation are three characteristics that helped me excel as the Great Elk Tour Manager. Some of my day to day responsibilities include; drafting and overseeing contracts, maintaining tour setup, creating travel and tour schedules, create and carry out annual budget, and representing RMEF in a professional manner.
Fire Forester- Engine Boss-Type 5 Incident Commander
Daily responsibilities included directing an initial attack fire engine squad in daily project work, fire prevention, preparation for suppression, detection and suppression of wildland and wildland interface fires. Assigned duties include; Engine Boss, Type 5 incident commander, radio communications, aviation skills with rotor and fixed wing aircraft, fire investigations, equipment maintenance, 4x4 engine & pump operations, and keeping inventory of assigned fire engine and its fire tool complement. Assist in training new fire fighters, knowing jurisdictional boundaries of Clearwater Unit, and maintaining fire, vehicle, and unit, documentation. Supervise assigned squad members in project work such as maintaining office buildings, grounds, vehicles, and equipment. I also have experience as a wildland fire dispatcher, monitoring dispatch radios, phones, and completing proper paperwork and documentation.
