Hello all, I graduated from Cole's College of Business at Kennesaw State University with my BBA in Accounting in December 2015. Since then, I participated in a rotational internship program with Southern Company for 1.5 years of experience in General Ledger Accounting, Internal Auditing, as well as Internal Controls and Compliance. Following my time at Southern Company I joined Aaron’s, Inc. as a full time Accountant. I started in the Divisional Accounting team and transitioned to Marketing Accounting where I served as the backup to the Assistant Controller. From there, I joined The Home Depot as a Financial Analyst in the US Merchandise Payables department. I was promoted to Senior Financial Analyst within my first year. During this time, I was responsible for implementing automation opportunities leveraging Google Big Query and Alteryx to increase accuracy and efficiency for the Payables team. In August 2022, I was promoted to Lead Analyst in the rebranded Procure to Pay Disputes team. In July 2023, my career went down a completely new path, and I started a new journey as a Project Leader in the One Finance API team. In this role, I am a blend of a product manager and a project manager, responsible for bridging the gap between software engineers and the rest of the business. I am so blessed and beyond excited for the continuous learning and challenges that come with being a part of the world’s #1 home improvement retailer.
