CurrentI inherited Brilliant's engineering org with ~25 ICs and only a single manager and matured it into a highly effective team with ~35 ICs and 6 managers in the span of 6 months.Some of what I accomplished in this role:- Built a layer of high-agency, hands-on engineering managers through hiring and internal promotions, including recruiting an EM I hired in a previous role and supporting a tech lead's transition into management- Leveled up the team through performance management, both accelerating the growth of key teammates and supporting others in finding better fits elsewhere- Participated as a member of the company's leadership team, contributing to company strategy and setting strategy for the Engineering org- Helped craft and conduct a CTO interview flow to hire my boss after ~5 months on the jobOrchestrating this organizational turnaround with severely limited time and resources was only possible because of inheriting such an astonishingly talented team. I'm extremely grateful for their and the rest of Brilliant's support in making it happen.
