Jared is the founder and CEO of BlinkJar Media. Jared's inspiration for BlinkJar originated inside Boston Children's Hospital as his son, Jonathan, was born with a complex congenital heart defect called Tetralogy of Fallot. After a six-hour open-heart surgery, Jonathan spent the next ten days in the hospital's recovery wing. During this time, Jared realized the way people searched for answers and solutions to their problems was changing dramatically. Since its' inception, BlinkJar has been a HubSpot partnered agency. Jared was introduced to HubSpot when he started a non-profit for families with congenital heart defects called Heartwaves. His work with Heartwaves was featured in the book Transform Your Non-Profit with Inbound Marketing. Before BlinkJar, Jared developed a deep understanding of marketing and sales through his career in television advertising. His experience in sales and advertising provided an up-close glimpse of how local businesses' marketing and advertising strategies were not matching consumer shopping habits. Jared's career in marketing and sales also provided him with an appreciation for the elements required in building the right team. Hybrid marketing firms, like BlinkJar, thrive on change and continually embrace shifts and advancements in technology to strengthen their business and deliver unparalleled value to their clients.Educating and informing the Baton Rouge community about Inbound Marketing has always been a critical initiative for Jared. He started the HubSpot User Group in Baton Rouge in 2013, and he frequently speaks to classes at LSU's E.J. Ourso College of Business. Jared has also served as a keynote speaker for the LSU PSI Sales Symposium as well as for many professional organizations like the Public Relations Association of Louisiana, Louisiana Society of Association Executives, Society of Louisiana Certified Public Accountants, Women In Media, East Baton Rouge Parish Library, and LaFASA.Jared graduated from Louisiana State University in 1994 with a BS in Marketing. Jared is married to his soccer sweetheart, Rikki, and they have two children.
