I was the lead party chief at Reid Middleton in Everett, WA. I perform topographic - boundary land surveying and construction staking for government related projects. throughout Western Washington. I am capable of running a 1 man robotic surveys, in addition to working in 2 - 3 person survey-crew teams. I use a Leica MS-50 Total Station with Leica Viva Captivate. I constantly communicate with my office personnel to ensure completion of projects to the highest degree. I am capable downloading and transmitting data to and from the office and keeping a detailed, legible and complete notebook of notes and sketches in aid of field work data. The projects I work on vary in size from one day topographic surveying small commercial lots, to public schools, to month long projects covering Navy bases. I helped train two field land surveyors during my time at Reid Middleton.

In August 2017, I was promoted to survey party chief. I lead a crew of two or three survey field technicians each day in completion of various survey work ranging from construction staking to topographic and boundary surveys.During my time at Core Design, I construction staked 100+ different construction sites ranging from clearing limits, to underground staking, as-builts and tight stakes of buildings. I used my skills and knowledge to help train new field surveyors the art of surveying, both rod and instrument training, and teaching experienced surveyors how to operate a conventional total station. I used a Sokkia conventional total station with SurvCE software and GNSS stations.

As a field technician my main responsibility is to assist the Party Chief with daily surveying duties. Some of my daily tasks involve setting up the instrument, backsight and foresight. Reviewing construction/civil engineering plans in determining accuracy through the work performed in the office to what is staked in the field. Communicating with office personnel with updates on progress on job sites. Placing stakes at designated points and hammering them into the ground. Marking down measurements of elevation, station number, and other identifying information onto wood lathes for construction crews. I was in charge of operating the instrument and rod.
