I was hired as lead web engineer. After 6 months I was promoted to a leadership position where I was the manager for the team of web engineers responsible for all of the Bloomberg Sports web applications.- Led the engineering effort to build v2 of the Bloomberg Sports pro baseball web application on a new tech stack, this was a complete rewrite of our flagship application transitioning from Java/Flash to a Ruby/Javascript stack.- Built v1 of our Match Analysis web application, a new product for the company that provided forecasts for soccer matches and real-time updates when matches were in-progress.- Led a team of six engineers, their time was predominantly spent building new tools for our pro baseball clients, many of them custom-built to specifications from our clients.- Designed a new scouting report system for our baseball clients to support legacy data but also introduce new features.

I joined Sports Technologies during the company's initial hiring phase and was one of two developers who wrote the initial version of FanNation.com (later sold to Time Inc.). After selling FanNation we pivoted to an agency model and primarily spent our time doing client work in fantasy sports. As the company grew, I was put into a leadership position overseeing the entire product team (engineering and UX).- Led numerous development projects to create custom fantasy sports applications for our partners: * Built the official NCAA March Madness bracket on NCAA.com * Built a suite of fantasy games on Nascar.com featuring a live leaderboard. * Additional fantasy games for NFL.com, USA Today, NBA.com, NHL.com and othersports/media brands.- Some of these projects scaled to serve millions of dynamic page views daily to hundreds ofthousands of users.

This was a long-term consulting assignment I had while employed by Versatile. I was brought in to Comcast as a Javascript, HTML and CSS expert to work with Comcast's front-end development team on an extensive overhaul of Comcast.net (their primary web property). I also contributed to a handful of smaller websites/projects for various company initiatives.

The company changed hands a few times (via mergers and acquisitions), but was called Versatile at the end of my time there. For the majority of my time with the company I worked as a web development consultant, contributing to web projects for our various clients. The largest project I participated in was a major site overhaul for Comcast (outlined above). Additionally, I worked as a web developer on numerous projects including: custom software for clients in the automotive and furniture retail industry and numerous small database driven web apps.
