I've started several small companies with friends/coworkers. Some are ongoingside projects; others have been shut down after failing to find product/marketfit. Some examples include a company to explore equity tokens on the Ethereum block chain.Built a POC using Solidity and the Truffle framework. Started a company to helpgain followers on Twitter. Another company provides alerts for failed cron jobs.Current company is in progress but deals with onboarding.Apart from that, I maintain a handful of repos with various tools/scripts I'vewritten over the years.I'm also the author of a sas7bdat file library in Python which has been incorporated into the PyData Pandas project.

Engineering lead. Full stack generalist. Python/Django/Vue.jsAs one of the first engineering hires, I had the opportunity to build a lot of the product. I was instrumental in helping the company grow and scale from 6 employees to well over 300. I worked on backend, front end, and infrastructure and wrote many of the deployment scripts that are in use today. Among other things, I built a Dropbox-like file sharing app; I built a subscription/payment service with wire transfer/ACH/credit card/invoicing support; I built primary and secondary financing tools; I built electronic securities/cap table management software; I built on-demand pdf watermarking.

Qforma was acquired by Qpharma. Data analytics/mining in Python. Some of the notable things I did during my tenure at Qforma include porting java based desktop software to PyQt and later to Django powered web apps; writing a QA framework; writing software build and deployment scripts; writing a workflow automation framework; writing various command line utilities; writing a robust flat file read/write library with its own mini language; plus many other projects which contributed to the automation of our software development cycle.

As the sole software engineer in the Mechanical Environments department, I wrote and supported software used in real-world experiments. Used image enhancement techniques (Image-Pro Plus and Visual Basic) to extract data from a series of x-rays of aburning rocket propellant to determine the burn rate and velocity. Wrote code in Python, Matlab, C, and C++ tofacilitate in various image processing techniques, including but not limited to: digital image correlation, motiontracking, stereo image photometrics. Experience with various software packages and programming languages forthe Windows, Macintosh, and Linux platforms including Matlab, Python, C, C++, Java, PHP, Bash, Photoshop,Illustrator, TrackEye, Microsoft Office, Apple iWork, Vic3D, and Drupal.
