Quite possibly the only person on LinkedIn avoiding the obligatory “results-orientated team player with excellent interpersonal skills and proven ability to work in a fast-paced environments” description. Not that those things aren’t true of me, but I represent a lot more than the standard buzzwords.Born in Australia, I permanently migrated to the United States in 2019. I spent the beginning of my career learning discipline, effective multitasking, integrity, and working under pressure as an emergency 911 Dispatcher, spanning two countries. This successful career included highlights of coordinating police efforts during the G20 event, collaborating on the 2018 Commonwealth Games communications operation, and building improved emergency dispatch knowledge-base solutions. But as someone who always aim’s far, I put my drive and focus into continuing my personal development, and went back to study, gaining a Bachelor’s in Applied Computer Science. This fascination and curiosity with technology sparked at an early age. In fact, I remember the exact day: Thursday, September 2nd, 1993. It was opening day of the film ‘Jurassic Park,’ and I remember how incredibly awe-struck I was. Not by the captivating concept or the fun action sequences. But by the question: how did they bring these extinct animals to life? I became obsessed with understanding and learning the ‘how.’ This unquenchable thirst lead me down the rabbit hole into a world of programming and robotics. The rest, as they say, is history. Fast forward to today, and you’ll meet a tenacious Axon Software Support Engineer who is never satisfied with the status-quo, strives to improve processes, and endeavors to deliver solutions creatively and efficiently. My ultimate goal is to instill a sense of trust everywhere I go, whether that be for team-mates who can implicitly trust my skills and knowledge, clients who can trust myself & the products/business I represent, or for myself, where I can trust my own instincts. I’m not a ‘win at any cost’ typer of person, I’m the ‘win the right way and never compromise’ person. Lets face it, at the end of the day all I want is to never give anyone a reason to echo Dr. Ian Malcom’s sentiment, “God help us, we’re in the hands of engineers.”
