For the past 7-8 months I have been managing a Sales New Hire program, covering for someone who was on maternity leave. Now, she's back. In addition to keeping things running smoothly, I identified three core areas of the program that could use improvement:- data collection and reporting- communication- facilitationI pitched that I should stay on and continue to operationalize these areas—with a focus on social learning. I'm training internal facilitators, accounting for regional nuances and norms, developing parallel trainings for virtual audiences, and tweaking along the way when I receive feedback. I've also designed RealTalk Conversations, intimate discussions with smaller teams and groups to have candid dialogue about the challenges and opportunities around topics such as allyship, belonging, storytelling, and conscious inclusion.
