Director Of Accounting
Current- Manage and coordinate the accounting operations of the bank- Develop and maintain the bank’s internal control system- Responsible for monthly, quarterly, and annual internal/external financial reporting- Preparation of quarterly and annual regulatory reports for the FDIC and Federal Reserve- Oversee the annual audit with the external accounting firm- Preparation of the GAAP compliant annual financial report and footnotes for the audit- Participate in and provide information for regulatory examinations- Manage, mentor, and train the accounting team- Calculate the Allowance for Loan Loss estimate- Oversee the accounting for the sale of government guaranteed loans- Develop and maintain system GL interfacing and controls- Responsible for the monthly, quarterly and annual closing process- Manage the bank’s reconciliation process- Build queries and reports for processing using the bank’s report writing system- Prepare workpapers for the external tax accountants for the calculation of the quarterly provisions, payments, and the preparation of the annual tax return- Support other departments with research, special projects, and problem solving- Assist in the planning and implementation of new systems- Member/participant of the ALCO, Nonperforming Assets, and Core System Conversion committees
