Jared is a member of United States Steel's Compliance Group. Prior to coming to U.S. Steel, he developed his practice in K&L Gates LLP's Government Enforcement, Internal Investigations, and White Collar Defense group. He is admitted to practice law by the Supreme Court of Pennsylvania and the U.S. District Court for the Western District of Pennsylvania.Jared Kephart graduated magna cum laude from the Penn State Dickinson School of Law in May of 2015. At Penn State, Jared was selected to be a member of the Law Review, the AAJ Trial Advocacy team, and the Woolsack Honor Society. Following his graduation from Penn State he passed the Pennsylvania State Bar Exam and accepted an offer of employment from K&L Gates LLP in the firm's Pittsburgh office. During the interim between the bar examination and beginning his employment with K&L Gates, Jared served as a seasonal recruiter for the admissions office at Penn State Law and traveled to undergraduate schools around the nation to meet with prospective law students.Before attending law school Jared received a Bachelor of the Arts degree from Waynesburg University where he graduated magna cum laude. At Waynesburg, Jared was active with the Greene County chapter of Habitat for Humanity. His activity with Habitat for Humanity led him to post-graduation employment with Habitat for Humanity as a manager of the Washington County Habitat for Humanity's "ReStore."
