In 2014 and 2015, Mediated Spaces worked on http://OpenPath.me, developing a back-end WebRTC infrastructure for place-based learning. With supporting funds from National Writing Project's Educator Innovator program, OpenPath worked with students on the implementation, focusing on learner experience. This work was presented at the MacArthur Foundation.

Developed mobile apps and curricula for use in education; over 1,000 NYC school students have collected scientific data with the WildLab, and tens of thousands have used it around the country. The WildLab has been adopted NYC Audubon, the Cornell Cooperative Extension, and other environmental educators, and was featured in media outlets and the iTunes.
