I am a senior at Sonoma State University majoring in Environmental Science and minoring in sustainability. I have a robust background in project management and leading teams. I am pursuing a career project management in habitat restoration. I want to help make the world a better place through my work. I participated in a habitat restoration workshop with LandPaths to help gain experience in the field. Patented inventor, with an eye for improving and growing business. My background is primarily management, education programming, and training. I have built partnerships and grown organizations both in business and in the non-profit world. Pre-Covid I was running the education program for a 16,000 sq foot non-profit makerspace in Santa Rosa. I tripled class revenue, while increasing attendance and diversity in our teaching staff. I coordinated everything from large public events, which were driven by my radio ad-campaigns and QR coded fliers. To creating new educational courses aimed at helping the community learn new STEM skills. While partnering with both private business and other non-profits to ensure that we were serving the community. I am currently the project manager in charge of project development at Heal, a startup out of San Jose which is bringing a new meditation product to market. I am a proficient public speaker and am comfortable educating others in small groups or presenting in front of 100’s of people. I enjoy hiking, cycling, canoeing, paddle boarding and going to parks with my partner Sue and our dog Rigby in Sonoma County. Environmental Projects:Attended with the Sustainability Committee at SRJC the California Higher Education Sustainability Conference (CHESC) at UCSB. After the conference we approved and designed for a community garden to be added to the SRJC Campus . The location was chosen to be at the SRJC food bank, with the goal of reducing food insecurities for students. I have helped start a non-profit in Santa Rosa, Neighborhood Garden Initiative. Where we are reducing food scarcity by creating and planting garden boxes for people in need.At 180 Studios Makerspace (Non-Profit), I partnered with the North Coast Resource Conservation and Development Council. We planned the location for a restorative garden to be installed onsite at 180 Studios. The budget from the project came from grant writing, and donations from NCRC&DC fundraising fund.
