"Leadership Monongalia's purpose is to identify, develop and sustain community leaders. The program aims to develop and enhance personal leadership skills, provide knowledge enrichment of Monongalia County and to develop and cultivate leadership involvement throughout Monongalia County."The cultivation of new leadership is of utmost importance to West Virginia's future prosperity and progress. Leadership Monongalia seeks to develop and motivate a cross-section of leaders who will use their talents and abilities to inspire others and to foster a new spirit of energy, enthusiasm and vitality throughout the county.The program spans eight months and includes leadership sessions from September through May. Leadership sessions typically include a full day commitment on Thursday and an occasional evening commitment. The educational sessions of Leadership Monongalia will all be conducted locally in Monongalia County.
