CurrentSupervise team of experts to monitor and evaluate implementation of Federal private health insurance programs and policy, including Affordable Care Act market reforms and coverage expansion, health care price transparency, surprise billing policy, large and small group market policy, Federal Employee Health Benefits (FEHB), and Federal health care tax policy.Serve as OMB’s primary career senior executive responsible for all policies and programs impacting the private health insurance market. Provide leadership to make targeted recommendations on regulations and sub-regulatory guidance to White House officials supported by original qualitative and quantitative analysis.Oversee OMB contributions to EOP technical assistance to Congress on legislation reforming health care coverage and private health insurance markets.Develop and defend the Administration’s budget request for health care Exchanges and private health insurance policy.Leverage partnerships with Treasury, HHS, Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services, Office of Personnel Management, and White House policy councils to fulfill Administration priorities.Recruit and train a diverse workforce consisting of five policy analysts and one PhD economist.
