As the Associate Director for the State Botanical Garden of Georgia, I serve as the Chief Operating Officer overseeing site administration, budget administration, financial accounting, human resources management, and information technology management. In addition to these duties, I also manage the Garden's strategic initiatives, communications, and marketing portfolio. I also oversee operations for the Porcelain & Decorative Arts Museum at the Center for Art and Nature at the State Botanical Garden. One of the best parts of my job is my team, which consists of three full-time professional staff members who work in support of the Garden's financial, IT, and marketing/communications operations. As a unit of Public Service and Outreach at the University of Georgia, the State Botanical Garden of Georgia creates and nurtures an environment for learning, inspiration and engagement through horticulture, conservation, science based programs and lasting partnerships. Established in 1968, the State Botanical Garden of Georgia is home to 313 acres of displays, natural areas, and conservation, and contains numerous botanical and horticultural collections, along with the Alice H. Richards Children's Garden, the Porcelain and Decorative Arts Museum at the Center for Art and Nature, five miles of hiking trails, and many more great areas to explore.

As the Head of the Finance and Accounting and Assistant Director of Administrative Services for the University of Georgia Libraries, I am responsible for planning, organizing, coordinating, and implementing the work of Finance and Accounting to ensure comprehensive financial/accounting services are delivered in an accurate, professional, and timely manner. This includes financial management and personnel management of a variety of funds totaling in excess of $23 million - including state appropriations, restricted sponsored funds, departmental auxiliary funds, and UGA Foundation (private giving funds). Along with the budget for the University’s Main Library, I also have budgetary oversight responsibilities for the Science Library, Special Collections Library, ancillary campus libraries/reading rooms, the Zell B. Miller Student Learning Center, and the Georgia Capitol Museum (located at the Georgia State Capitol in Atlanta, GA). Along with these duties, I manage four full-time professional staff members who work in support of the Financial Operations at the University Libraries.
