I am a motivated and talented programmer with a strong scientific background. Throughout my career I have worked on a highly varied set of projects including a physical simulation of glacier, a laboratory information management system for a mouse genetics program, a clothing e-commerce site turned crowdfunding platform, and a collaborative web based music player.Through these projects I have gained mastery in a multitude of technologies including AngularJs, MeteorJs, Magento, Javascript, jQuery, PHP, Python, Fortran90(!), Git, MySQL, Mongo, Linux, Apache and Varnish Cache. I'm certainly no designer, but I have gotten my hands dirty with Pixelmator, Adobe Photoshop and advanced CSS, LESS and SASS.I love to make things work and I find joy when those things are designed elegantly. After all these years I think I might be getting good at knowing when something needs to work well and when something just needs to work.I am happy working on a project by myself but love watching pieces of a project fit together when working in a group. Currently I'm living in San Francisco with my wife, our baby and two cats. I happiest when eating tasty food with family and friends, devouring fantasy and science fictions novels, and playing ancient video games for the nostalgia rush.
