The Financial Product Specialist role functions as a internal wholesaler for solutions offered through a centralized support center for Wealth Management staff. Provides support to our corporate objectives by nurturing assigned territories through sales calls, sales ideas, answering product questions, preparing proposal materials, running illustrations, identifying new sales opportunities, and launching new products. Informs and guides clients on financial planning products. Works with internal and external partners to coordinate activities through their working knowledge of their assigned territories, products/services, and marketing campaigns. May provide wholesalers/product specialists with telephone, administrative, and sales support.Responsibilities:Maintain relationships with internal and external partners to supply sales ideas, provide technical information on product-specific questions, identify sales opportunities, and assist in launching new products.Aligns tactics and develops strategy with production goals of the operating companies and agency administration. Develops and maintains relationships with assigned intermediaries.Promote product sales by distributor and explain product features and service capabilities of the company, provide sales ideas and competitive analysis, and train distributors. Assists with preparation of proposals and administrative follow-up with policy/account management. Receives internal correspondence and makes outbound calls to producers and distributors in support of sales and marketing activities.Identifies client needs and coordinates efforts to service assigned intermediaries. Conducts sales promotion and product training meetings for assigned intermediaries and existing or prospective clients.

As the Judicial Services Liaison for Smart Start of Illinois, I got to serve as the personal contact for attorneys, judges, probation officers and specialty court personnel whose clients had their sobriety monitored with Smart Start's Breath Alcohol Ignition Interlock Device (BAIID) or the Sobriety Monitoring And Reporting Technology (S.M.A.R.T.) Mobile portable alcohol monitoring tool. In addition to attending conferences to answer general questions about their devices, I met with attorneys at their offices to answer specific questions about the monitoring tools or the Illinois Secretary of State’s BAIID Program and demonstrate the BAIID device. I also conducted training's for probation offices or county specialty court personnel on the benefits of adding the S.M.A.R.T. Mobile device as another tool in their toolbox to affordably monitor the sobriety of their clients. I was the go-to contact for monitoring authorities who had clients on our devices because of the superior customer service that I provided. I achieved this by making myself available to answer questions or resolve issues outside of standard business hours, responding promptly with accurate information and adding a personal touch to the relationships I formed with our monitoring authorities. My goal was to make the process as easy as possible for our monitoring authorities and clients.I also created the annual marketing plans that included which conferences or events we would attending and what advertising strategies would be implemented.

I was responsible for recruiting, training and supervising volunteers to answer calls from the National Suicide Prevention Lifeline, PATH Crisis Hotline and United Way's 2-1-1 Information & Referral Line. Other responsibilities included updating/revising the training materials, representing the agency at community events, public speaking, providing back-up assistance to the hotline and other duties as assigned.
