I was hired into this role to help establish a new arm of Tuxedos and Tennis Shoes Catering at a World Class preforming arts center in Seattle, WA. I established all operating standards for for areas of sales opportunity: catering, symphony/event concessions, casual cafe and fine dining restaurant. I worked with my team to create an individual identity for each area. I hired individuals and developed training tools. I continually observed operations standards and worked to improve those standards as the business became more established and successful. I oversaw a team of 5 full time on site managers that helped with the daily operations each overseeing specific areas. I also created forecasts, goals, budgets, and compared those to purchases, expenses and actual sales. I continually reviewed financial information to ensure that we were making wise purchases and selling products for the appropriate price. I measured quality control of all food coming out of the kitchen and looked for ways to improve the product offering and bring added value to the customer. I acted as a liaison for Tuxedos and Tennis Shoes to the Seattle Symphony and Benaroya Hall. I attended regular meeting with these individuals to keep open communication and access how their requests of our services were being met. Work closely with all other departments in the hotel (Housekeeping, Sales, Reservations, Engineering, and Restaurant) to help the hotel run smoothly.
