As Chief Legal Officer & Secretary for Match Group (NASDAQ: MTCH), I oversee all legal, compliance and government affairs functions for this leading provider of online services aimed at creating meaningful connections for single people across the globe. I directly advise our senior executives, including Match Group's CEO, President and CFO, on all legal matters, as well as key operational and strategic matters. I also manage Match Group's corporate governance, including matters relating to the Board of Directors, such as preparation and review of meeting materials, minutes, consents and other matters, and personally advise the Board of Directors on various matters relating to risk and legal compliance. My global team of 35+ lawyers, paralegals and experts, along with our network of outside law firms and consultants, partner with our business leaders to help drive the future of our organization. Our efforts include compliance with global privacy and consumer protection regulations, establishment of safety, security and risk standards, engagement in the legislative process, contract negotiation and review and many other activities.

As Vice President, Associate General Counsel (M&A) at Expedia, I previously led and directed all legal aspects of Expedia’s mergers, acquisitions, joint ventures and other key strategic initiatives, including the drafting and negotiation of all acquisition and commercial agreements related to such arrangements, as well as all post-closing integration and implementation work for such acquisitions and initiatives. During the integration of acquired companies, I served as day-to-day counsel for the business units responsible for such new businesses and initiatives, and advised on activities ranging from ordinary course commercial arrangements to communications and relationships with key partners and regulatory authorities and from litigation to IP, along with other matters. As part of my responsibilities, I also worked with my teams to identify and develop strategies to manage, and resolve issues relating to, the legal and business impacts of such activities. During my time at Expedia, I led our legal teams in acquisitions of HomeAway, Inc. (NASDAQ: AWAY) and Orbitz Worldwide, Inc. (NYSE: OWW) for approximately $3.9 billion and $1.6 billion, respectively. I also led our legal teams in the divestiture of Expedia's majority interest in eLong, Inc. (NASDAQ: LONG) for approximately $671 million, the acquisitions of Travelocity, Wotif.com (ASX: WTF) and a majority stake in trivago, among others, and Expedia's entry into an exclusive, long-term strategic marketing agreement with Travelocity, which was hailed at the time as the "affiliate deal of the decade" by travel industry experts.

Developed a course and accompanying curriculum aimed at preparing law school students for a career in corporate legal practice with a focus on Mergers & Acquisitions (M&A). The skills taught in the course included reviewing, drafting and negotiating key legal documents customary in many M&A transactions, as well as organizational skills necessary for success in a law firm setting.

Worked as a Senior Associate in the Los Angeles office of Latham & Watkins and a member of the Corporate Department. My practice focused primarily on mergers, acquisitions and joint ventures for corporate and private equity clients, including transactions for a broad range of businesses, including the health care, defense, real estate, technology, consumer retail, chemical and pharmaceutical industries. I also represented public and private companies on general corporate matters.

Led an investment team in the acquisition and subsequent disposition of multiple movie theater properties and related assets. Generated significant returns for our debt and equity investors.

Worked as an Associate in the New York office of Cravath, Swaine & Moore and a member of the Corporate Department. My practice focused primarily on mergers and acquisitions for corporate and private equity clients, and I also represented public companies on securities and general corporate matters.

Instructed and assisted students with respect to legal writing assignments, including the preparation and drafting of legal memoranda, briefs and other related documents.

Designed and implemented strategies to create innovative products and manage the innovation process for Fortune 500 companies for Clayton M. Christensen, a Harvard Business School professor and author of The Innovator’s Dilemma, and his team of consultants.Co-directed the creation, design and marketing of a business journal published by Innosight in collaboration with Harvard Business School Press.
