With experience working with contracts, mostly in the energy sector, I learned first hand how important contracts are to each business function. I also have learned that every contract will likely involve some negotiating. I am the first person in my family to have worked in the energy sector. I entered college knowing I wanted to be a business major, but didn't know what specific field of study in business that I wanted to be in. When I heard about the Energy Commerce program at Texas Tech, I was fascinated by how energy touches almost everything that makes our lives better. Through my experience working in the energy industry, I learned skills in title research, contract analysis, broker management, GIS, and land acquisition.I enjoy relationship building with all different kinds of people, and having an experience as a landman gave me the opportunity to learn more about energy and meet people from all walks of life. From being a student volunteer, in Peru installing solar panels, to having worked as a landman for Noble Energy, I greatly enjoy land and energy related work and the people I have met a long the way. Having attended and graduated from Texas Tech University, I enjoy rooting for my Red Raiders in all their sports.
