On-site administrator for South Campus with 81 total beds - 61 inpatient psychiatry beds, 20 inpatient rehab beds, inpatient / outpatient procedural psychiatry (ECT), an 11-bed full-service emergency department, and 24-hour psychiatric emergency assessment services. Served on enterprise-level committee to develop service line growth initiatives around utilization management. Launched new hospital-based Intensive Outpatient Program with mental illness, substance use disorder, and trauma tracks.

Responsible for clinical and operational quality for an acute adult inpatient psychiatric unit and consultation service within a multi-site, acute-care hospital system. Initial responsibility was for a 6-bed crisis stabilization unit. Designed and implemented two growth projects to expand capacity, first to 8-beds, then to a total of 12-beds. Served as Community Mental Health Officer for the local probate court, coordinating all activities related to involuntary mental health care in the community.

For the remainder of the assignment, provided on-call, after-hours coverage of the Emergency Departments in a two-hospital system to perform psychosocial assessments of patients presenting with mental health and chemical dependency complaints.

Performed duties specified by the Mandatory Treatment Act of 1990, including evaluation and referral of alcohol- and drug-using defendants in the criminal justice system.
