For his day job, Jared is a successful real estate broker and investor in the DFW area. Following his success in those roles, friends and clients began coming to him, wanting to invest in something beyond the stock market. Many thought the only good option beyond buying stocks was acquiring single family rentals. Jared, already an accredited investor, had personally invested in private placements, syndications, businesses and even a pharmaceutical start-up. He encouraged them to consider similar alternative investments. After Jared personally invested in Clotine Capital, he became intrigued with its unique design as a ‘self-directed’ fund. When the opportunity later arose to become a member of the managing entity, it was an easy ‘yes’.
