My role also included the lead designer of Channel Magazine, a 130+ page North Shore (NZ) publication with a monthly readership of around 100,000. I was an integral part in the creation of strong design campaigns, collateral and cataloguesthat were results driven. Working with the team to ensure the communication was right beforeembarking on the concept and creative. Towards the end of 2008 my role moved to theproduction and print management side of the business. This involved pre-press and productionof the necessary documentation including quotes, purchase orders, as well as press passing and approving the final artwork.

I was a on call freelance designer for Origin Design in Whistler, Canada. This involved the construction, layout and amendments to a wide range of printed material for local, national and international clients.

This role included design, layout and construction of various printed material including retail catalogues, corporate identities, logos, promotional flyers, billboards, magazine and press advertisements. This position also involved liaising with clients for briefings and on screen amendments to jobs. Multi-tasking and managing work-fl ow was essential as work(for freelancers) often had to be juggled to meet tight deadlines.
