Excited to help our local client!2023 - 2024Currently on a React project creating a component library from scratch. Learning Tailwind and Storybooks. So far it's been a lot of fun!At the start of the year I spent a few months learning DevOps, exploring Azure and AWS workflows, including using infrastructure as code, learning AWS CDK and CLI. I even grabbed a couple certifications!2021-2022 - 1st Project (Around 1 year and 3 months on this project) I was part of a large scale C++ embedded systems project. I interacted with dozens of globally located developers and learned many in house tools to interact with the product and it's data. This was a fantastic opportunity to grow communication skills and learn how to develop along side hundreds team members while utilizing C++, Gtest for Unit tests, Python for system tests, and using an array of commands to work within a Linux based environment. We also used Jira for tracking Bugs/Storys.

Attended Immersive Full Stack web development course.Created a plethora of interactive websites, utilizing an array of different industry standard applications.Worked with others and learned how to pair program and create applications together.Gained over 500 hours of experience while designing a professional portfolio.

Tested software and games, and submitted bugs to clients. I was put on two interesting projects in my time here, one was related to AI, while the other was a set of AR game experiences. My team worked closely with the client, sending clarifying questions and giving feedback on the game project. It was amazing to see the progress of the project as our bugs would be fixed and even some of our ideas would be implemented. I learned a lot about accessibility, as we helped the client properly implement voiceover and a text-view feature.

I had an opportunity to utilize my Human Resources degree at QualityLogic, and decided to give it a try. The admin position gave me a lot of experience in Excel. I learned how to manipulate large amounts data and even balance budget sheets. I worked with management to recruit new employees, shop for supplies, and hire contractors to fix things around the office.This position was very people facing, and I was able to utilize my customer service skills to solve problems.

I came back to QualityLogic because I finished school and missed working with technology. When I arrived, I was put onto an even more challenging project, but as I learned how to test in Telemetry, I quickly found that I was able to learn even more interesting testing tools. I enjoyed learning new things here, there were always programs to troubleshoot and defects to submit.This was also where I met a good friend of mine who started to teach me computer programming, and we started making small game projects together for fun.

A fast paced position involving manual data entry with confidential info. Working in a small team of two, we would split each project and tackle them as quickly as possible in order to move them down the pipeline. I had a great team member, and we were able to get very fast at filling out the information.We would also assist others around the company by interacting with and filling out client information on Salesforce. I learned a lot about the CRM platform, and I still think it is a very powerful business tool.

This is the position that allowed me to start utilizing my passion of computers. I learned more about interacting with new technologies and tools than I ever had before. A testing position on the analytics team required a very keen eye, and I was able to spot many bugs thanks to having a high attention to detail. It was a blast finding bugs, I was on a great team, and I was constantly learning more about computers.

This position initially started as a school project, but eventually I found myself going back each week to help out for over two years. I love animals, and even had pet rats as a kid, so assisting in cleaning and caring for the Rat Retreat pets was a real treat. I was even asked to help out with some special projects, like video editing, and a bit of graphic design.

This position came at the perfect time while I was in school, and it was incredibly unique and fun. I was the night watchman, and would spend evenings ensuring the safety and comfort of all kinds of dogs.I learned about all different kinds of pet diets and medications, I learned how to give insulin shots, and I learned how to calm down dogs with different temperaments. Since some nights could be pretty quiet, I would clean and organize for the morning crew. I still think about a lot of the dogs, a lot of them were the sweetest animals I have ever been around.

This job changed my view on how companies work. This was a small business thrift store that gave it's workers the freedom to adjust the store in ways they thought would benefit the business. This freedom is the reason I eventually got a Bachelor degree in Entrepreneurship Management. I loved working here, no matter how difficult some days were, I felt like I was really contributing to something.They eventually made me a supervisor, so I was able to lead a small team of people throughout the day. I learned about management, customer service, and the basics of running a store. Everyday was different here, and I gained a large variety of experience.I worked hard for the success of Restyle, and loved that they used funds to assist in the care of dogs and cats.
