Jared completed an ambulatory care pharmacy residency through the University of Minnesota College of Pharmacy at Essentia Health in Duluth, Minnesota. Here he provided Medication Therapy Management services to patients in several internal medicine clinics in Duluth and the surrounding area. In these clinics Jared worked one-on-one with physicians, nurses, and other members of the health care team to manage patients’ medication and disease states. In addition to providing patient care, Jared worked with fourth year pharmacy students while they complete their APPE rotations and pharmacy students in the classroom in the Pharmaceutical Care Learning Center. In addition he participated on a hospice care team, journal club/topic discussions, and delivered multiple presentations to professional staff. His research topic was entitled: Knowledge of heart attack and stroke symptoms among US Native Americans Adults.
