Summary: Obtain, assess, and evaluate geologic and related data to determine subsurface natural gas and liquids accumulations for commercial viability, primarily working on self-sourced (unconventional) accumulations. Responsible for securing and assessing data to identify and prioritize assets and areas to target. Experienced in natural gas and liquids geologic operations, regional assessments and cross functional collaboration. Uses modern software, tools, and analysis, understand reservoir properties, quantify risk, and participate in volumetric and reserves estimations.Essential Functions:Obtain, assess, and evaluate geologic data related to development of subsurface natural gas and liquid accumulationsReview and evaluate geologic and other relevant data associated with significant assets (greater than $1 Billion in value)Review and provide interpretations from data marketed data rooms within specified time constraints. Works with other disciplines to generate valuations and justifications to senior managementComplete and integrate regional geologic and associated data to define and prioritize potential acquisition targets and other commercial actions, including leasing and drilling operationsIncorporates engineering, land, and operations data along with coordinating with other disciplines to determine commercial subsurface conditionsReview and stays current on technology, products and vendors related to geologic and subsurface evaluations and assessmentsHas ability to provide insight to aspects of operations other than acquisitions, such as geologic data management, new ventures, and drilling operations Works with Geophysicists and GIS professionals to integrate subsurface interpretationsEnsures the quality of service delivery and execution during all phases of operations and evaluations
