I am a detailed, highly motivated person who always wants to perform to the best of my abilities. I worked at UPS for 15 years where I honed most of my skills. I worked in several different positions there from hourly to management. I spent over 12 years in management with UPS where I was able to gain knowledge in not only logistics and data, but employee management as well. I was training supervisor who worked with new employees to teach them proper techniques and understand how to successfully complete their responsibilities with the expectations of management. I supervised up to 90 employees as a sort supervisor and 45 drivers as a dispatch supervisor. As a sort supervisor at UPS my shift won the division safety award of the year for least amount injuries and days away from work due to injury twice. That division included 36 other sorts or shifts. My hub sort also won sort of the quarter twice, and my feeder department won feeder department of the year for being most effective at meeting or beating the indices and metrics set by the industrial engineering department. I have also learned time management techniques as this is the backbone of the transportation business, I have worked in. I found that being a full time supervisor at UPS is similar to the jobs of my managers at other companies. I have worked in a customer-based setting with Comcast to help quickly resolve any issues the customer was facing. While at Comcast I became a Subject Matter Expert (SME) in less than a year which usually takes closer to two years to reach that position. I multitask very well and have strong leadership qualities. I am self-driven, set my own goals to achieve, as well as any company goals, and am always looking to improve myself as well as the employees and company I am working for. I am never satisfied with just being where I am at. Outside of work I’ve have always been active, playing sports or coaching youth baseball and basketball teams. I strive to be a mentor to those who are around me and can find a way to get the best performance out my employees or players and try to leave things better than when I started. I have found similarities between coaching and managing employees at the workplace trying to help people progress their skills and show a marked improvement. I know I am an asset for any organization and can leave a positive mark on anything I am involved with. I have outlined a few of my skills and accomplishments.
